Here is another Steve Vai transcription from Passion and Warfare. Thank you to
all the people who took time to e-mail me about the transcription of Liberty.
I have have tried to reply to all mail and anyone who has not yet heard back
soon will do. From the mail recieved this track was the one most people asked
for and so here it is for all to enjoy. If you enjoy this transcription then
e mail me to let me know. For a while I will not be available at my old e mail
address but I can be contacted by mailing to n.quincy@sheffield.ac.uk. please
put the subject of all mail as Chris Wilkinson so that I get it. I am still
taking votes on the next track to transcribe the leading one at the moment is
for the love of God but if you have a different request then let me know.
Anyway a few technical details about the song. This track is a lot
harder to play than liberty but should be within the reach of players with
a bit of ability and time to persevere. the song has numerous guitars on it
I have transcribed the main guitar throughout but in some parts there are 4
guitars all playing the melody so remember this when playing it.
A word or two of thanks must go to gse@ocsystems.com for BUCKET 'O TAB the
windows tab creation software which I used for this transcription. An excellent
piece of software available as shareware at nevada.edu in the directory
resources/dos_tab_utilities from the guitar archive. It is people producing
sharware like this that enable you to now have a copy of this song so give
them some credit.
Anyway once again I hope everyone enjoys the song and keeps on improving their
playing.
