Rage Against the Machine - Know Your Enemy
I finally finished figuring out the solo, so here you go!
H=Hammer on, P=Pull off, ~=Vibrato, ^=Bend
You're going to have to learn a new trick to play the intro
part - Using a guitar with Les Paul style electronics, set the
lead volume to 10, the rhythm volume to 0. Simultaneously hammer
on each note and flip the selector switch into the lead position.
If you don't have that kind of guitar, then place your pick hand
across the neck of the guitar at about the 3rd or 4th fret, across
all 6 strings, and just use your left hand to hammer on the notes on
the intro. You should do just fine, but it takes a bit of practice
to be able to hammer on without picking - practice until you get it.

Slide down off of the last E, treating it like a quarter note (the
intro is all 16th notes) and then play this:

On the last 4 power chords you hit, throw in a 16th note rest before
you strike, and then play each power chord as a dotted eigth note.
That's what's played when every other instrument stops, then you play
it a few more times (this is the CHORUS). Then, for 1 measure, there's
a bit of a pause - just tremolo pick the higher A in the 3rd power
chord of the 4 power chords at the end of the abovementioned chorus
for 1 measure, never play the 4th one, and then the VERSE starts.
During all the verses, you just play this riff over and over again:

need some AMAZING whammy bar skill. Try to follow this - directly
below each note is the number of steps that it's lowered using the
whammy bar. Here goes:

For this first part, dip just before you strike the note, strike the
note, and then immediately release the whammy bar back to original
position. On the last note, to a whammy bar vibrato AND a normal
vibrato for best effect.

Now, don't pick the first note here: It's the last note above
continued. No whammy bar is used, except for once - between the
notes marked with a pound sign (#), gradually bring the pitch up
on full step, then back down, and then don't pick the second note
(sort of like a legato slide, but with a whammy bar)

Above, I pointed out a quintuplet - this trick was originated by Van
Halen. I only recently learned about it - it's a hard timing thing
to master. Good luck with it - listen carefully and you should get
it. On the last note, hold the vibrato and then slide down out of it.
Now, he once again uses that trick from the INTRO with the toggle
switch - it's a bit (well, a LOT) more difficult this time. Practice
a bit, you should get it eventually. This is the part I'm having
trouble with, maybe you're quicker than I am.

using the pickup selector switch trick as before.

PHEW! Now that the solo's over, here's a bit of an easy thing. Just
a few power chords, then a bit of a breakdown for all the instruments.
Just sort of do whatever during this part - I just do a pick scrape
up and down different strings, and hit an A every here and there. In
case you haven't noticed, this song is based around A, very evident
in the solo. Here's the power chords before the breakdown:

At the end of the breakdown, there's a gradual bend shown at the end
of that line. Then the BASS comes in with the VERSE riff, then you come
in with the verse riff on the guitar. Before you come in, you bend the 15th fret of the B string a few times. Then you come in with the verse riff.
