Take My Scars by Machine Head

A word about tuning - on the album the guitars are tuned down one tone to D,
and -then- the low D string is tuned to C. Phew! If -you-
wanna tune down like that, get some 11's or 11/10 hybrid
strings, you may also have to adjust your truss and/or
intonation!
Anyway this is how it's played...

NOTES:
A '+' sign indicates these parts should be played simultaneously (with
different guitars obviously... heh)
Rhythm One should be played palm muted, your mutes should gradually get
lighter, so that by the 7th repetition it is played with no mutes.
Rhythm Eight is nice. It's played by moving the picking hand over the
strings (across them [i.e. vertically], not along them), to
get a scratchy squeaky sound. It is doubled by the other
guitar playing the rhythm with muted strings.
The solo isn't worked out perfectly, but it'll give you a basis to work on,
I'm pretty sure that solo is un-repeatable! The vibrato is huge, especially
on the first four notes... In fact on all the bends :).
During the Pre-Bridge, Rhythm Three is used again, this is played in much
the same way as Rhythm One, with light mutes, the picking getting heavier
while the muting disappears.
